You will serve as an Electronics Technician in the Spectrum Mission Data & Info Division, Spectrum Warfare Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.

Duties

You will be responsible for technical requirements associated with Electronic Warfare Intelligence Analysis (EWIA). You will apply analytical processes to the planning and implementation of new and improved data and information to meet the requirements of Electronic Warfare (EW) systems. You will gather intelligence data products and package mission data according to documented rules and processes. You will have direct interaction with operational forces on EW products and services and conduct post flight data processing as queued by operational forces.

Requirements

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for STRL jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower pay band. This requirement is called time-in-band. Time-in-band requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band (DT-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Demonstrating knowledge and experience in the field of Electronic Warfare (EW), fulfilled through one or more of the disciplines of Offensive Electronic Attack, Defensive Electronic Attack, or Electronic Support Measures; 2) Applying analytical processes to the planning and implementation of new and improved data and information to meet the requirements of sensor fused mission data loads for aircraft systems; 3) Gathering and packaging intelligence data products into mission data for aircraft systems according to documented rules and processes; 4) Developing Technical Electronic Intelligence (TechELINT) data reports or analysis products.
