About the Position: The position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE), Ft. Moore, Georgia 31905. The "Maneuver Center of Excellence" is located 100 miles south of Atlanta and is adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Public transportation and free parking is available.

Duties

Schedules courses of instruction/training, computes troop requirements, equipment, and ammunition support by applying the contents of Programs of Instruction (POI) to the requirements of the training organization. Plans, coordinates, schedules, and projects any and all training, training support, and graduation requirements for each and all courses of instruction supported. Plans, coordinates, and communicates in person, by phone and in writing/electronically all training requirements in support of all scheduled instruction and graduation requirements. Researches and interprets a variety of regulatory guidance, resources, and equipment requirements determining training needs and the applicability of training resources.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.
  • This position requires shift work, overtime work, some working at nights, working on weekends, and holidays, and may require the incumbent to work flexible work schedule in support of cycling training scheduled.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Education or Communication. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer SkillsEducation and Training Program AdministrationOral CommunicationTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
