About the Position: This position is with the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-1, Civilian Human Resources Agency (CHRA), North Central Regional Director's Office, Fort McCoy Civilian Personnel Advisory Center, Staffing Division, located at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin OR Rock Island, Illinois.
Management has the discretion to fill the position in a remote location.
Duties
Provide consultation on the full range of management advisory services.
Knowledge of Human Resources specialization concepts, practices, regulations, precedents, and procedures.
Assure customer inquiries are resolved timely.
Advise employees on work and administrative matters.
Complete administrative supervisory tasks such as approving leave, complete annual appraisals and counseling as needed.
Assist Commanders, managers, and employees with reporting and correcting pay or personnel issues.
Supervise and manage the accurate processing of all personnel actions.
Guide, coach and mentor subordinates and track/manage their development while identifying areas where training is needed.
Oversee workload management ensuring balance across the team.
Advise managers and employees on complex problems and issues that require analyzing and/or troubleshooting.
Review laws, regulations, procedures, and statistical data surrounding the subject or task.
Implement ways to eliminate/reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers to production.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Providing leadership, guidance, and training to a team of Human Resources professionals; interpreting and applying civilian Human Resources concepts, principles, laws, regulations and practices; utilizing current civilian Human Resources database systems to query, retrieve, and analyze information in order to complete complex assignments; and planning work to meet production goals. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
