You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the Quality Assurance Branch (TRF-512), Control Division (TRF-510), in the Supply Department (TRF-500), TRIDENT Refit Facility (TRIREFFAC) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.
Duties
You will conduct statistical samplings and workload measurement studies.
You will communicate effectively orally and in writing.
You will schedule and unscheduled audits and reconciliation on stock material processes and stock records.
You will respond to incoming Supply Reports, received from outside activities related to company stocked items.
You will process reviews to maintain currency of various processed and provide input related to known deficiencies.

- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Information Technology (IT) certification Level: II
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Materials Handling Equipment (MHE).
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
Qualifications
GS-07- Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized experience is defined as:
- Experience performing scheduled and unscheduled audits and reconciliation on stock material processes and stock records, utilizing both Navy ERP and locally developed programs.
- Experience carrying out a thorough and intensive research of discrepancies to facilitate the reconciliation of supply transactions with record balances, to prepare the physical count of on-hand balances, and to prepare necessary adjustments to stock records
- Experience performing quality control tasks required to ensure the quality of supply processes generating from the interaction of Navy ERP.
- Experience analyzing and reconciles material and documentation discrepancies with the objective of eliminating root cause of errors.
- Experience participating in process reviews to maintain currency of various processes and provide input related to known deficiencies.
