You will serve as the Security Division Manager and command Activity Security Manager, as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the SECURITY DIVISION, CORPORATE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, located in Port Hueneme, CA.

Duties

You will lead, provide guidance for and oversee information, physical, or operational security (OPSEC), foreign visitors, technology protection, and anti-terrorism and force protection (ATFP). You will analyze security needs, plan and direct the implementation of security measures, such as OPSEC test procedures, preliminary inquiries, and security systems, and estimates costs of operation. You will develop security procedures for PHD, remote sites and detachments for protection of test information, personnel, or property during test events. You will establish, administer, oversee, and evaluate policy required for the implementation of the Navy Security program. You will adhere to specific security mandates, daily database updates/maintenance, periodic inventory process, meeting customer needs, audit and inspection readiness and executing operational requirements. You will serve as the supervisory Security Division Manager and command Activity Security manager leading a dynamic team of security specialists and subject matter experts while executing programmatic requirements and budget.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing physical, personnel, or operational security oversight to evaluate security requirements and recommend equipment, methods, procedures, or systems for security program and project planning efforts.
