You will serve as a Management Analyst in the Business Operations/Metrics Division (Code 1160) of the Corporate Operations Department (Code 1100) of SOUTHEAST REG MAINTENANCE CTR SERMC.

Duties

You will gather, review, input, maintain, and analyze narrative and quantitative data on a variety of topics in order to prepare recurring and special reports, statistical evaluations, and briefings. You will provide process change recommendations resulting from analyses of performance measures and metrics. You will collect, analyze and sum departmental Business Plan metric performance to the Command level and communicate the results to the Executive staff. You will gather, assemble, graph charts, analyze, trends, models, and develop presentations. You will utilize Lean Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies to continuously improve various data management processes.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Green Belt certification within 2 years.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Some work sites require the wearing of appropriate safety equipment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying management policies to analyze programs for surface ships maintenance systems and functionality. Experience utilizing a wide range of quantitative methods to conduct management and program measurement studies and surveys. Experience using the principles of process improvement (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) and reengineering to achieve maximum program effectiveness. Experience gathering, evaluating, and assimilating metrics from spreadsheets and databases to compose complex problem oriented correspondence, reports, and presentations. Experience planning and conducting studies to recommend and prepare solutions to resolve problems and improve overall Command performance.
