You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Mission Systems Group Logistics Department of NAWCAD. As the H-1 Avionics Deputy Assistant Program Manager for Logistics (DAPML), you will be responsible for total logistics management of the Avionics Systems in support of H-1 Avionics Systems IPT within PMA-276 Program Office.

Duties
You will develop and implement product support and maintenance concepts/requirements for assigned systems to achieve program goals and objectives with minimum life cycle cost.
You will identify, plan and execute logistics efforts to ensure all aspects of the total systems life cycle (i.e. acquisition and sustainment) are in place to meet program requirements.
You will apply logistics principles and practices to ensure the total integration of product support elements to meet program requirements.
You will assist in the development and management of contract requirements (i.e. statements of work and contract data requirements) to support systems engineering/acquisition phases.
You will develop and implement maintenance capability establishment as required to support maintenance concepts/requirements to achieve program goals and objectives within budget and life cycle cost.
You will participate in the Configuration Management Process by developing, reviewing and submitting all associated documentation in support of Engineering Change Proposals, Configuration Control Board (CCB) Presentations, and Technical Directives.
You will evaluate the causes of support related problems and choose appropriate course of action that balance the interests of the program mission and the stakeholders.
You will establish a robust total cost of ownership effort and develop affordable readiness initiatives, where appropriate, to reduce life-cycle costs.
You will participate in risk management processes and early identification of system integration risks.
As required, participate in Reliability Control Boards (RCBs), or other readiness initiatives. Support the Degrader Action Cell (DAC) lead by providing required data on top degraders.
Interface with DOD, OPNAV, other services/agencies, supply chain managers, the Fleet, Fleet Support Team (FST), field activities, test and evaluation organizations, other entities/contractors in performance of duties and in the resolution of issues.
You will represent H-1 Avionics Systems IPT at the ILS Working Groups, Logistics Products and Process Reviews, Integrated Logistics Assessments, Milestone Reviews, Maintenance Working Groups, etc. in support of the program.
You will prepare and/or deliver presentations to customers/stakeholders in order to address support posture and justify logistics requirements.
You will defend necessary modifications to previously approved plans to ensure program objectives are met.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Planning, analyzing, and executing logistics support/management in relation to avionics systems; 2) Encompassing both acquisition and sustainment logistics to meet program requirements; 3) Developing/managing contract requirements (i.e. statements of work and contract data requirements) to support systems engineering/acquisition phases; and 4) Developing/implementing maintenance capability establishment to support maintenance concepts/requirements to achieve program goals and objectives within budget and life cycle cost.
