About the Position: This position is under the supervision of the Combat Service and Combat Services Support Readiness and Sustainment (R&S) Directorate. Duties

Coordinate the activities of a multi-functional team to support new acquisition, sustainment, and repair program requirements. Assign work, provide technical advice and guidance, review work, evaluate quality and provide training to team members. Represent the team with management, higher headquarters, Department of the Army and other customers through meetings, briefings and correspondence. Facilitate team meetings, set team goals and objectives, develop strategies, evaluate customer needs, reengineer team processes, evaluate customer satisfaction and team performance, develop plans to improve team performance and meet customer needs. Evaluates Logistic status/readiness of assigned system(s) and takes corrective action for existing or foreseen problems.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

Qualifications

Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or detail NTE 1 year by a current permanent Army Employee. Temporary promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years and may be made permanent without further competition. Position may be filled as a temporary appointment NTE 1 year, if the candidate is not a current permanent Army Employee. Temporary appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three years. Employees on temporary appointments will be separated once the Not-to-Exceed (NTE) Date is reached.
