You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TECHNICIAN (BRANCH MANAGER) of the SOLID STATE and RF POWER MODULE SUSTAINMENT BRANCH in the RADAR TECHNOLOGIES DIVISION of the SPECTRUM WARFARE SYSTEMS DEPARTMENT in the of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
This position is equivalent to the GS-13/14 level.
Duties
You will manage the repair and test of power electronic or RF solid state electronic components, subsystems, and/or systems for DoD radar or electronic warfare systems.
You will manage the finances of the Branch/Section and ensure all necessary parts/material are procured in a timely fashion to support the
workload while maintaining schedule and budget.
You will work contracts with the COR in support of contractors who perform work in support of solid state devices, testing microwave tubes and repairing high voltage power supplies.
You will responsible for training, mentoring and supervising Section Manager and mixed grade levels of employees, providing feedback and guidance throughout the year .

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing technical engineering leadership and guidance on test and repair projects of power electronic or Radio Frequency solid state electronic components, subsystems, or systems ensuring operational readiness of DoD radar or electronic warfare systems.
