DCSA's CI/Insider Threat Directorate is seeking a Cyber Counterintelligence Analyst. As such you will be responsible for conducting research, analysis, and production to focus collection activities directed against foreign adversaries targeting cleared industry via the cyber domain.
Duties
As an Intelligence Operations Specialist working for the DCSA Cyber Mission Center you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Identify and research domains and IP addresses.
- Identify and research indicators of compromise.
- Enhance threat awareness among internal and external consumers.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify threats to US networks and communications infrastructures.
- Present findings in oral and written communications.
- Represent DCSA at cyber/counterintelligence working groups and analytical exchanges.

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GG/GS 07 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Practical knowledge of an extensive body of rules, procedures, and operations sufficient to perform standard procedures in the performance of such work as extracting information from various sources by considering the applicability of the information and the characteristics and quality of the sources. As well as have the ability to successfully complete training and formal course requirements in order to advance to positions of greater scope and higher responsibility OR have a Master's or equivalent degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such as degree or LL.B. or J.D.
Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:
1. Problem Solving : Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
2. Technical Competence: Uses knowledge that is acquired through formal training or extensive on-the-job experience to perform one's job; works with, understands, and evaluates technical information related to the job; advises others on technical issues.
3.Writing : Recognizes or uses correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling; communicates information (for example, facts, ideas, or messages) in a succinct and organized manner; produces written information, which may include technical material that is appropriate for the intended audience.
4. Researching : Identifies a need for and knows where or how to gather information. Obtains, evaluates, organizes, and maintains information.

If substituting education for experience, at the GG-09 level, a Master's or equivalent degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such as degree or LL.B. or J.D.
Superior Academic Achievement does not apply to DCIPS positions.
If substituting education for experience, transcripts MUST be provided. Failure to provide transcripts will result in you being rated ineligible for this position.
