About the Position: Serves as an Administrative Officer for the Operations Support Branch, US Army Environmental Command (USAEC) and is the technical expert for the Command Supply Discipline Program, logistics service requirements, and personnel actions for assigned military personnel.

Duties

Serves as the primary hand receipt holder and manages property accountability for the Command. Supports command’s facility management for the care, maintenance and usage of the building which houses office, conference, storage, and training space for multiple organization. Supports the Environmental Operations Chief in centrally tasking, coordinating, and submitting official Command responses to staff actions. Manages administrative responsibilities for all areas of military actions to include award packets, promotion packets, personnel actions, leaves, supporting memorandums, and daily personnel accountability. Serves as the command’s Freedom of Information Act (FIOA) Officer. Oversees the processing of FIOA requests.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance.

Specialized Experience for GS-09: One year of specialized experience which includes serving as a hand receipt holder and managing property accountability for a Command; Coordinating with installation public works staff and/or contractors for routine building maintenance, modifications, upgrades and/or emergency work order requirements to resolve any building safety issues; experience managing staff actions; managing administrative responsibilities for all areas of military actions to include award packets, promotion packets, personnel actions, leaves, supporting memorandums and daily personnel accountability; experience managing the Command's Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Program, overseeing the processing of FIOA requests and responding to requests on behalf of the Commander, USAEC. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration, Organizational Management or Operations Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement for GS-09: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
