About the Position: Serves as Administrative Officer responsible for the full range of providing or obtaining a variety of management services essential to the direction and operation of an organization.

Duties

Develop management tools to monitor trends and/or compliance with established command guidelines. Monitor the obligation of funds with regard to office supplies, services and/or equipment. Coordinate special projects, programs and/or initiatives. Respond to general tasking of internal/external organizational inquires. Utilize database systems to maintain organizational information.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the employee to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires submission of a Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450, pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a two year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Utilizing computer software programs to track and/or update data for an organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Law, Political Science, Business, Library and Museum Studies, Public Administration. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementClericalComputer SkillsCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical) Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
