Duties

Serve as a Digital Communications Specialist in the U.S. Army Human Resources Command (HRC) Public Affairs Office. Plan and develop modern and engaging social media and web content for the U.S. Army Human Resources Command’s primary social media platforms and web site. Plan social media strategies and work on a team to develop content to communicate USAHRC focus areas, priorities and missions Determine best use of video and still photography for web-based communications. Write and edit news articles for the command website and social media pages.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary Duty Travel at 15%of the time.
  • This position will require the employee to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • This position may require the employee to work outside of the standard regular work hours.
  • This position may require that the employee work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • This position may require the employee to travel on military and commercial aircraft.

Specialized Experience: GS-11- One year of specialized experience which includes : applying modern industry techniques to create engaging digital content; researches, assembles, writes and disseminates information on command websites for internal and external public coverings. Determines best use of video and still photography for web-. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). GS-09- One year of specialized experience which includes : coordinating promotional events, maintaining the audio-visual library, writing articles and posting photos/ videos on social media platforms. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
