Duties
You will perform safety, maintenance and engineering inspections of 525 boilers and 175 unfired pressure vessels located at marine Corps Base.
You will be the subject matter expert on all boilers and pressure vessels and has full responsibility for conducting a thorough and complete inspection of all equipment including controls and related equipment.
You will examine all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, structural and pneumatic systems, components and parts directly connected with the operation of the equipment.
You will sign and post certification.
You will conduct on-site inspections. tests and investigation to determine condition of equipment, cause of inefficient operation, failure or malfunction.
You will on a scheduled basis conduct all tests required by the ASME Code, the National Board Boiler Code and NAVFAC.
You will conduct all tests for all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and safety devices inherent in boilers, unfired pressure vessels, power plants, heating plants, control systems and auxiliaries.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: testing, inspecting, and evaluating mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, structural and pneumatic systems, components and parts of mechanical utility systems and equipment (e.g., primarily boilers and unfired pressure vessels).
