You will serve as a GG-2210-14 IT Specialist (INFOSEC) at HOPPER GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS CENTER in Suitland, MD. As the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), you will be the principal advisor on all IT matters, technical and otherwise, which involve cybersecurity.
Duties
You will execute Information Systems Security Manager duties.
You will conduct periodic reviews of all assigned IT capabilities to ensure cybersecurity compliance.
You will develop new methods, approaches, and procedures, and provide advice and guidance on a wide range and variety of complex IT issues.
You will provide leadership and subject matter expertise support to the Hopper Information System Security Manager Customer Support Desk personnel, with a focus on improving reliability, customer service and experience and communication.
You will establish metrics for measuring Customer Support Desk performance, provide metrics to leadership as requested, and seek out innovative ways to achieve automation via the Hopper Information System Security Manager Helpdesk Service offering.
You will monitor and manage all incoming Hopper Account Creation Requests, Authorize Transfer Agent (ATA), Privileged User (PU), and Quick Media Requests (QMR) submissions.
You will coordinate the work of the team, establish priorities, guide team members and be responsible for accuracy and completeness of the team products.
Requirements

Qualifications
This position requires one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to experience demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GG/GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as:
1. Execute Information Systems Security Manager duties by providing guidance, policies, and procedures for the security of sensitive and classified information processed, stored, and transmitted on IT systems.
2. Conduct periodic reviews of all assigned IT capabilities to ensure cybersecurity compliancy.
3. Review risk assessments to analyze the impact of potential vulnerabilities.
4. Ensure system security measures comply with applicable organizational policies, guidance, and procedures.
5. Author, review, and approve changes to the organization's Information Systems Security Manager documentation, Cybersecurity Instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures.
