DCSA's Counterintelligence Operations Division, CI/Insider Threat Directorate, is seeking an enthusiastic candidate to join us as an Intelligence Operations Specialist. In this role you will receive formal on-the-job training, analysis training, as well as developmental assignments. The Directorate collaborates with the DoD components and other federal agencies to collect and share CI and security information.
Duties
As a INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties:
Conducts all-source research and analysis to identify and inform stakeholders on foreign intelligence threats.
Present findings in oral and written communications.
Represent the agency at CI working groups.
Performs routine, standardized assignments in support of counterintelligence analysis activities.

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GG/GS 7 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Practical knowledge of an extensive body of rules, procedures, and operations sufficient to perform standard procedures in the performance of such work as extracting information from various sources by considering the applicability of the information and the characteristics and quality of the sources. As well as have the ability to successfully complete training and formal course requirements in order to advance to positions of greater scope and higher responsibility
Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:
1.Counterintelligence: Apply knowledge of the Counterintelligence Functional Services categories, to include: support to
arms control/treaties; briefings, debriefings and reporting; research and analysis; and inquires.
2. Oral Communication: Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.)
3. Partnering: Develops networks and builds alliances; collaborates across boundaries to build strategic relationships and achieve common goals.
4. Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
5. Writing: Recognizes or uses correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling; communicates information (for example, facts, ideas, or messages) in a brief, clear, and organized manner; produces written information, which may include technical material, that is appropriate for the intended audience.
Education
If substituting education for experience, at the GG-09 level, a Master's or equivalent degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such as degree or LL.B. or J.D.
Superior Academic Achievement does not apply to DCIPS positions.
If substituting education for experience, transcripts MUST be provided. Failure to provide transcripts will result in you being rated ineligible for this position.
