This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Duties

Performs and coordinates a wide variety of human resources and management functions. Provides detailed analysis and recommendations for improvement in the utilization of human/manpower resources to meet current and/or new missions. Performs all actions required to manage and monitor the Project Office’s manpower authorizations for military and civilian strength required, authorized, and assigned. Conducts management studies, responds to external information requirements, prepares human resources management reports, resolves discrepancies and problems, and recommends staffing strategies for civilian human resources management. Serves as the Project Office Organizational Defense Travel Administrator for the Defense Travel System.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

  • May be required to complete a 1-year trial period.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret Security clearance.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service that includes: 1) Reviewing manpower data to include civilian and military personnel, conducting manpower drills and Military Acquisition Position List (MAPL) processes utilizing various databases and tools; 2) Managing a Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA); 3) Tracking and managing mandatory training and specialized acquisition training opportunities for an organization; and 4) Experience advising managers and employees on various processes, policies, and regulations.
