You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Duties
You will formulate provisioning plans, schedules and supply support management plans for new programs and equipment.
You will participate in all Integrated Product Team planning (IPT) activities throughout the early phases of product support.
You will develop and maintain supply support milestones and performance statistics for optimum weapon support.
You will visit prime contractors, major vendors and support sites to monitor production of spares/repairs and assign priorities for contractual deliverables to expedite manufacture/distribution of material most urgently required for fleet operations.
You will develop Support Material List's (SML) in accordance with applicable aeronautical requirements and current DoD directives ensuring all items acquired are from authorized sources only and at the lowest cost to the Government.
You will conduct planning data validations and execute all procurement and repair requirements within the appropriate timeframes.
You will analyze computed support levels to determine that the planned sparing meets operational goals within the approved funding envelope.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1.) Attend logistics planning conferences to formulate provisioning plans, schedules and supply support management plans for new programs and equipment; 2.) Evaluate progress in attaining Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) objectives determining the need for action in order to correct deficient performance while developing strategies to execute problems for which previous used techniques were unsuccessful; 3.) Monitor and control progress to ensure timely and quality delivery of Integrated Product Support (IPS) element inputs 4.) Develop long-range plans identifying critical support areas, resources and their availability to determine the impact of program and budgetary changes; and 5.) Develop and maintain supply support milestones and performance statistics for optimum weapon support.
