Job opening: SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Salary: $113 792 - 147 934 per year

You will serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in the Integrated Weapons Support Team (IWST) of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Duties

You will be responsible for the application of resources and utilization of appropriate inventory management and Integrated Logistics Support techniques to assure material availability and maximization of various readiness indicators. You will identify potential logistics problems and coordinate with colleagues for resolution when impacting current operating engine programs, new weapons systems acquisition etc. You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates and prepare schedules for completion of work. You will formulate strategies and policies to be followed by section personnel in computing requirements determinations to forecast aviation demands of the operating system.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialzied experience include: 1) Responsible for the effective and efficient application of resources and utilization of appropriate inventory management and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) techniques to assure material availability and maximization of various readiness indicators; 2) Identify potential logistics problems and coordinate with colleagues on resolution when impacting current operating engine programs, new weapons systems acquisition etc. ; 3) Formulate strategies and policies to be followed by section personnel in computing requirements determinations to forecast aviation demands of the operating system; and 4) Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates and prepare schedules for completion of work.
