You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, positions being filled are the LEM and Common Support Equipment Branch of the Support Equipment IWST and Branch I of the Common Systems IWST, of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. #LI-NAVSUPWSS

Duties

You will manage staff of approximately consisting of various grades. You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments. You will provide guidance and assistance to the branch personnel when necessary with formation of schedules, re-provisioning conferences and file reconciliation reviews.

  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field Life Cycle Logistics Level II. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Knowledge of IPS, systems engineering, reliability and maintainability and configuration management; 2) Extensive knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures used in the procurement, overhaul, operation, supply, maintenance , modification and repair of complete weapon systems/equipment; 3) Knowledge of the relationships of procurement and budget considerations, data systems and files, provisioning, transportation, storage cataloguing, maintenance and repair; 4) Knowledge of budget polices and procedures to determine budget requirements for future years as well as to maintain and track adequate funding for the current year; 5) Establishing and maintaining logistics data inclusive of source, maintenance and recoverability (SMR) coding, weapons system application data, entering ERP data.
