The Budget Analyst position is located in the Department of Administrative Services (DAS), Facilities and Security Office (FSO), Resources Management Division (RMD), Judiciary Security and Administrative Services Branch. The FSO is responsible for the management, oversight, and support of security, emergency preparedness, space and facilities programs, and various administrative services within the Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building (TMFJB) for the courts and other judiciary offices.

Duties

This position will report to the Chief, Judiciary Security and Administrative Services Branch, Resource Management Division (RMD), Facilities and Security Office (FSO). The FSO is seeking a self-motivated, professional Budget Analyst to join its team. The incumbent will be expected to adeptly navigate a dynamic environment and efficiently manage multiple priorities. Apart from being highly organized and analytical, the incumbent must demonstrate robust business judgment and effective communication skills to engage with individuals at various levels within the organization. The ideal candidate for this role should possess in-depth knowledge of the Judiciary's budget processes. Furthermore, strong writing, editing, analytical, and quantitative skills are essential for the preparation of budget and policy documents. The ability to swiftly adapt to evolving situations and make informed decisions is crucial in this role.

Qualifications

Applicants must have demonstrated experience as listed below. This requirement is according to the AO Classification, Compensation, and Recruitment Systems which include interpretive guidance and reference to the OPM Operating Manual for Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions. Specialized Experience: Specialized experience must demonstrate experience in ALL areas defined below: Developing and overseeing budget formulation, justification, execution, and analyses; and Reviewing, analyzing, and/or assisting in preparing budget estimates, projections, and long-range planning estimates.
