Duties

You will monitor the operation and maintenance of housing by reviewing financial and maintenance plans and reports. You will evaluate management, maintenance and operating costs to develop information on current and past expenditures and provide comments on the annual housing operating budget. You will monitor change of occupancy for housing inventory and maintain all maintenance information. You will monitor, review, and maintain records of the Resident Satisfaction Survey and evaluate results to improve performance. You will assist housing tenants in resolving complaints and disputes and document resolutions. You will complete monthly Housing Services reports and maintain tenant occupancy history files. You will communicate advance housing information, including housing conditions, rental costs, occupancy rates, and other general information to incoming personnel.

Requirements

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Mediating issues between customers and businesses related to housing regulations and acceptable conditions and conducting research to identify trends. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Education

In lieu of experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
