Duties
You will review and interpret DOD, USMC, and installation orders and policies for impact on the Public Private Venture (PPV) programs.
You will perform staff visits to other installations both special and scheduled to provide staff guidance an management assistance in assigned program areas and evaluate installation performance.
You will review and investigate Congressional inquiries relative to areas particular responsibility to ensure corrective action.
You will provide oversight of Housing training program for command.
You will provide subject matter expert input for the preparation of the Command responses for assigned program areas.
You will reviews Inspector General (IG) and audit reports of installation housing management to assure appropriate response and corrective action.
You will review of all DOD and HQMC housing reports for area of particular responsibility.
You will resolve conflicts, interprets policy, and determines methodology in completing assignments.
You will establish work priorities and deadlines; explaining work requirements and methodologies to be used and executed; outlining procedures to employees as needed.
You will review work in progress or upon completion; approving leave and time cards; reviewing and authorizing employee travel; completing annual performance reviews.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) developing and implementing organizational and/or command-wide regulations, policies and procedures for facilities within assigned areas; 2) reviewing, analyzing, evaluating and interpreting guidance (e.g. USMC, DOD), installation orders, instructions, regulations, policies and procedures; 3) initiating, developing and drafting correspondence (e.g. orders, directives, regulations, supplements and policy statement/letters) based on applicable guidance (e.g. DOD, HQMC); 4) preparing responses to inquiries and reports (e.g. Congressional inquiries, IG and audit reports); 5) supervising housing specialist and planning, scheduling and coordinating their work to include establishing work priorities, deadlines, scope and work to be accomplished.
