You will serve as an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/CUSTSPT) in the N6 Department of HELICOPTER MARITIME STRIKE WING PAC.

Duties

You will conduct Physical Security Inspections during Command Assist Visits and Inspection. You will prepare each subordinate command for Cyber Security Inspection by ensuring SIPRNET spaces are hardened and comply with SECNAV and DOD Instructions. You will coordinate and oversee installation of Intrusion Detection alarm systems throughout the command. You will serve as the Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) and EKMS user representative for ordering electronic keys. You will assist the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) in the areas of Information Security, Personnel Security Management, Physical Security, and Information Assurance. You will perform all facets of NMCI account and systems management. You will manage public internet and intranet (private) sites. You will track NMCI asset inventory through NET. Manage and coordinate Seat/Technology Refreshes for CHSMWP and subordinate commands.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Customer Service and Technical Support level II.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing technical information to diagnose and resolve problems with communications equipment (i.g., ELECTRONIC KEY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS) for physical security and information security programs. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. Completion of Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree (Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.)
