You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) in the COMMAND OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT, INFORMATION SYSTEMS DIVISION of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will plan, direct, and control all information technology operations within the Command through subordinate managers/supervisors.
You will provide complete information systems management support to the Commanding Officer and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and all elements of the Fleet Readiness Center.
You will provide strategic guidance and assistance to the Commanding Officer, and ELT for current and future IT equipment/systems/networks.
You will ensure Cyber compliance across all industrial and Research, Development, Test and Evaluation networks/hardware.
You will exercise second level management responsibility to civilian and contractor personnel (through the Contracting Officer Representative (COR)) performing analytical, technical and administrative tasking.
You will study, review and analyze organization operations to determine current and future information systems requirements, i.e., requirements for information systems, equipment, facilities, supplies, personnel and funds.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 752 level advanced within 12 months of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: .
1) Formulating, developing, administering, acquisitioning, and executing information systems objectives, policies, programs, and projects.
2) Working knowledge of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) services and information technology operations that include automation planning, server and systems administration, Domain administration, Network management, Database Administration Services, Cyber Security Services, and support for Enterprise Architecture.
3) Developing IS and IT strategic objectives to meet mission requirements of an agency.
4) Leading and resourcing large, complex informational systems (IS) and technology (IT) teams to meet mission objectives.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
