About the Position: Serves as a Resource Analyst located in U.S. Army Material Command, DCS, G-8 Operations, Resource, Acquisition and Support Division in Redstone Arsenal, AL.

Duties

Perform value-added financial, accounting or economic analysis to make informed decisions that better utilize resources and improve mission effectiveness. Analyze and review budget and program issues, and financial data and reports using business tools and applications, cost and economic analysis, and performance metrics to provide recommendations. Utilize integrated federal financial management systems and sub-systems to extract data, identify and resolve system problems, and maintain data integrity. Prepare, review and reconcile financial statements and financial reports to meet reporting requirements and to support management decisions.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
• Financial Management Certification: Members of the FM workforce must achieve the appropriate certification level for their positions within 2 years of notification of applicable certification requirements or the period of any extension.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
