About the Position: This position is located in the Directorate for Resources Management, Performance, Analysis and Evaluation Department. The purpose of the position is to maintain effective and efficient data collection systems which enhances management decision making. These data collection systems provide reporting of expense, manpower, and workload at the local, headquarters, and service levels. The position is located at the Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune (NMCCL), North Carolina.

Duties

Utilize healthcare systems such as Defense Medical Human Resource System Internet (DMHRSi) or Medical Expense and Performance Reporting System (MEPRS) to manage performance data. Create spreadsheets to perform analysis on time card data each pay period. Prepare reports on man hours, timecard errors, and labor cost for financial department. Assist users with questions on proper practices when inputting timecard data into timekeeping system.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
  • This position is eligible for situational telework pending approval by management.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing trends in personnel data, such as timecard details and labor costs for an organization; entering manpower utilization data into human resource systems; assisting with the development of solutions for man hour issues; and compiling performance data for monthly reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: finance or accounting. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: AuditingComputer SkillsManages and Organizes Information Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
