You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the NETWORK AND DIGITAL SYSTEM SUSTAINMENT DIVISION, DIGITAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, PORT HEUNEME DIVISION.
Duties
You will conduct technical reviews of problem reports, emergent technical issues, and proposed changes relating to Aegis equipment and any related peripheral equipment impacting the Aegis Weapon System and provide recommended course of action.
You will manage Hardware Engineering Review Board project funding requirements for engineering investigations and white paper development, development costs, testing/integration costs, and proof of concept installation/testing costs.
You will provide professional leadership and technical services including project/task planning and the execution of work assignments pertaining to significant elements within complex in-service engineering (ISE) services for AEGIS Networks.
You will prepare and distribute Hardware Engineering Review Board and technical meeting agendas and announcements, assign participants, and verify completion of all outstanding actions items.
You will serve as a project technical expert for engineering projects associated with the design, in-service engineering, installation, operation, and maintenance of assigned equipment.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing electronics engineering project requirements to evaluate weapon systems designs and resolve problems impacting the development or in-service engineering of ship systems.
