About the Position: The incumbent will utilize knowledge of the project and program controls and business processes in the execution of environmental, interagency and international support (IIS), construction, planning, real estate, operations, regulatory, Military Programs and/or civil works projects and programs.
Duties
Assist in the coordinate the day-to-day management of the Project Controls Section (PCS)
Assist with tracking trends in resource usage and evaluating projects, as well as developing and maintaining project management methodologies that incorporate schedule and budget templates in the toolkit.
Serve as the secondary District point-of-contact for all P2 related issues and will back up other staff for P2 data entry
Develop and implement initiatives to effect organizational or procedural changes as a result of directives from higher management, lessons learned, and evaluations of current/existing processes and training curriculum
Prepare a variety of project management reports for upward reporting, monthly project status reviews, Division Project Management Reviews (PMR), Program and Budget Advisory Committee (PBAC) briefings, Command Management Review (CMR) data validation
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Temporary duty (TDY) travel is approximately 5%.

One year of specialized experience which includes monitoring, analyzing and evaluating the productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency of budget/programming operations to meet program management milestones and schedules; monitoring all project funds through the reporting database of district budgetary funding and work programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
