You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the Total Ship Computing Systems Branch (D53) of the Networks and Digital Systems Engineering Division (D50) of the Digital Engineering Department (D00) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, Port Hueneme, California.
Duties
You will serve as the Technical Lead of the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Endpoint Security Solution (ESS) software, providing technical direction for LCS ESS,
You will employ knowledge of security systems and solutions (Host Base Security System – HBSS, ESS, McAfee endpoint security products, Operating Systems such as Linux and Microsoft Windows),
You will provide planning and technical direction for execution of Life Cycle Engineering solutions (design, development, modernization, installation, test planning, execution, testing, evaluation, data analysis, reporting, sustainment of ESS/HBSS),
You will work with Engineering and Sustainment teams to plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance efforts for ESS/HBSS software in laboratories and shipboard environments,
You will manage and coordinate technical efforts for the Cyber security portion of the TSCE network, including program definitions, design approaches, modernization, installation, testing and evaluation, deployment and sustainment,
You will provide expertise to hardware and network architectures, software and hardware testing, troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance, as well as software QA,
You will provide in-service engineering support to the Fleet, other U.S. government activities, agencies, or Contractors in resolution of technical problems during the total lifecycle of In-Service systems associated with LCS ESS/HBSS,
You will work with other Leads to generate and manage schedules, budget estimates, status reports, briefs, and presentation materials,
You will predict, plan, and budget for current and future requirements, providing technical leadership to plan, guide, and coordinate workgroup efforts, assign tasks, review work, and resolve conflicts,
You will conduct technical briefings, prepare and submit technical and situational status reports, coordinate project-oriented assignments, and lead LCS ISEA technical teams.

- This position is designated a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain credentials described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for Systems Security Analyst, Intermediate, within specified timelines.
- A minimum of 20 hours of Cyber IT/CSWF related continuous learning must be completed annually and documented in your current individual development plan (IDP) signed by you and your supervisor.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) or grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, applying Information Technology (IT) principles directing technical teams and shipboard technical events in the execution of Life Cycle Engineering efforts for shipboard systems and Endpoint Security Solution (ESS)/Host Based Security System (HBSS) software.
Your experience must also reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
