About the Position: Serve as a special advisor to the District providing technical assistance to project managers, program analysts, and others, as required, in the development and maintenance of project schedule and budgetary data in the Project Management Information System (PROMIS/P2) suite of programs.
Duties
Provide technical expertise and assistance to project managers, program analysts, and others in the development and maintenance of project schedule and budgetary data.
Develop and maintain project schedule and budgetary data in the Project Management Information System (PROMIS/P2) suite of programs.
Ensure all projects are identified and entered in the PROMIS/P2 systems, and its data components are complete and accurate.
Review project progress by use of progress reports, baseline comparisons, and other tools to identify performance variations in cost and schedules, and assist project managers in understanding and resolving these variations.
Assist in setting up PROMIS structures, schedules, and budgets to allow for the proper interface and data transfer between systems, such as CEFMS.

Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes: Developing and maintaining project schedule and budgetary data in the Project Management Information System (PROMIS/P2) suite of programs; Determining sequence, interdependency, and duration of schedule's tasks; Ensuring logic and data is accurately reflected in PROMIS; and Assisting project managers with performance measurement by understanding and resolving variations in cost and scheduled performance.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
