This position is located in the Office of Research Operations and Planning (OROP), Office of the Director (OD), Center for Cancer Research (CCR), National Cancer Institute (NCI).
Duties
Serves as primary expert on operational issues and analysis in support of the clinical program.
Tracks and analyzes a wide range of processes and initiates actions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Supervises and performs a variety of highly complex assignments requiring the application of qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program implementation and effectiveness.
Develops and conducts training to internal staff on a wide range of clinical operational and administrative issues.
Performs other duties as assigned (e.g., reviews work of junior staff, oversees contracts, provides workshops or training, contributes to communications tactics).
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.

Qualifications
You qualify at the GS-14 level, if you meet one of the following qualification requirements:
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: managing and administering clinical research programs and operations; applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical research programs; gathering information to identify and analyze clinical research issues; communicating information on clinical research programs and operations; and providing supervision and direction to other staff.
