Duties

You will assist in onboarding new travel analysts, to include ensuring travel-specific training is conducted, Defense Travel System (DTS) roles are updated, and appropriate forms are correctly filled out and signed. You will resolve travel issues, submit them to senior analysts for review and briefs senior analysts on outstanding travel issues which may have a negative impact on the command. You will processes vouchers and travel inquiries. You will provide advice, recommendations, and information to all levels of NAVSUP WSS managers and supervisors.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Qualifications

Specialized experience GS 7: I have one year of Management and Program Analyst experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying knowledge of travel policies, rules, regulations, and principles. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Processing travel vouchers and answering travel inquiries for all members within the command; 2) Providing customer service to all levels of civilian and military employees across the command; 3) Assist senior analysts in conducting travel-specific formal, and informal training for team members; 4) Resolving travel issues and submit brief senior analyst on any outstanding travel issues for review. Specialized experience GS 9: I have one year of Management and Program Analyst experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying knowledge of travel policies, rules, regulations, and principles. I have experience assisting in onboarding new travel analysts, to include ensuring travel-specific training is conducted, Defense Travel System (DTS) roles are updated, and appropriate forms are correctly filled out and signed. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Processing travel vouchers and answering travel inquiries for all members within the command; 2) Providing customer service to all levels of civilian and military employees across the command; 3) Assisting senior analysts in completing more complicated processes such as civilian Permanent Change of Station (PCS) moves, creating Lines of Accounting (LOAs), clearing debts and rejects, opening and closing travel accounts, and so forth; 4) Conducting formal, over-the-shoulder, team-building, and informal training of team members as required; 5) Resolving travel issues, submitting them to senior analysts for review and briefs senior analysts on outstanding travel issues which may have a negative impact on the command.
