You will serve as a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist in the Classification and Staffing Department, Human Capital Management Group of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Duties

You will represent the command in all civilian human resources programs by providing strategic advice, guidance, direction, and coordination. You will supervise and provide oversight of a staff of human resources specialists in the operational aspects of human resources management. You will work with corporate management to develop programs to meet organizational needs or solve continuing problems.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band (NM-03) or (GS 09/12) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following. Examples of specialized experience include: (1) Applying Human Resources principles, concepts, and practices to provide in-depth guidance and advice to management on classification, staffing, recruitment, benefits, workforce shaping, employee and labor relations, compensation and performance management; (2) Utilizing Human Resources Management laws and policies to solve complex Human Resources problems/issues and make recommendations; (3) Performing advanced technical work in various functional areas of Human Resources such as staffing, classification, recruitment, human resources processing and employee relations and development, benefits, compensation, workforce shaping and performance management; (4) Coordinating and/or assigning work assignments to staff members/team members, based on organizational priorities and capabilities of team members; and (5) Functioning as a human resources liaison with internal and external contacts to ensure that program needs are achieved.
