You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST (BRANCH MANAGER) of the RADIATION TEST & EVALUATION in the STRATEGIC MICROELECTRONICS DIVISION of the GLOBAL DETERRENCE & DEFENSE DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
This position is equivalent to the GS-13/14 level.
Duties
You will provide the space, strategic, and high reliability communities with services for testing of microelectronic devices in radiation environments to include test development, test execution, and data anlaysis.
You will provide program office radiation effects guidance in the form of documentation and test review, liaison activities, facility scheduling, and SME support for developing radiation requirements.
You will ensure operations, maintenance, and personnel compliance with RAD-10 requirements for the irradiators and Short Pulse Gamma (SPG), and soon to be delivered Flash X-Ray.
You will be responsible for road mapping of future needs and requirements in order to understand customer needs and ensure progress with the radiation modernization efforts.
You will develop strategies and vision for the Branch to support programs and policies, in alignment with the Command Strategic Plan
You will ensure adherence to compliance areas such as Safety, Environmental, and Security.
You will manage categories of products and analyze complex situations or those with limited data drawing conclusions to assist in business decisions.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating and evaluating technical support for microelectronics test and evaluation projects, to include developing and executing testing plans and requirements in support of mission or customer objectives.
