This position will serve as a Program Analyst to the Service Chief and Program Management of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) & TREWI Program. PM&R and Telerehabilitation Enterprise Wide Initiative (TREWI) Program is a complex service consisting of multiple types of medical activities.
This position is located at Audie L. Murphy VAMC in San Antonio, Texas.
Duties
Duties may include but are not limited to:
-Participates in the development of data collection, storage, maintenance and reporting methods of databases to track performance measures, action plans, professional practice evaluation data and other quality indicators.
-Responsible for gathering data to support program manager's assessment of clinician and physician workload, clinical access, clinic utilization, historical and open encounters, consult management, and performance measure data from national databases to include VISTA, VSSC, Pyramid Analytic, Decision Support Systems (DSS), as well as other local and national sources of data.
-Monitors and studies the progress of projects with different schedules, and resources to identify missed project milestones and forecast future resource requirements and availability.
-Uses standard qualitative and quantitative measurement techniques to report on status of assigned subject areas.
-Monitors and manages services fund control points, processes transactions against obligated funds.
-Automated Data Processing Application Coordinator (ADPAC) coordinator for Telerehabilitation Enterprise Wide Initiative (TREWI) Program, incumbent will attend all meeting required and working closely with Office of Information Technology (OIT) and the Clinical Applications Coordinator (CAC).
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30a.m. to 4:00p.m.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 01/04/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-07 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Knowledge of medical management practices and medical programs, guidelines, regulations; Analyze financial reports and apply data various data gathering techniques; Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS), Decentralized Hospital Computer Program (DHCP), Pyramid Analytics, Automated Data Processing (ADP), Training Education Management Program Office (TEMPO)/Learning Management System (LMS), VA Time and Attendance System (VATAS), Invoice Payment Processing System (IPPS), Electronic Contract Management System (ECMS) and Veterans Health Information System and Technology Architecture (VISTA). OR,
Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have a masters or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond graduate education. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)

Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Some work may require movement between offices, hospitals, warehouses, and similar areas for meetings and to conduct work. Work may also require walking/standing, in conjunctions with travel to and attendance at meetings and/or conferences away from the work site. Incumbent may carry and lift light items weighing less than 15 pounds.
