Provides administrative support. Performs work involving the collection, compilation and or tracking of data and statistical information in support of the organization's program operation. Assists in the planning, review and reporting of data/statistical results of program studies. Establishes protocols for incoming data, organizes computerized data sets and retrieves computerized data. Prepares all recurring monthly reports, compiles and analyzes data and disseminates information.
Duties
Collects and analyzes information about the ADP Program's impact on workload of day to day operations and recommends (verbally and in writing) adjustments as needed for implementation of new program, solutions to problems, etc.
Advises management of trends and problem areas.
Works with Information Management Service (IMS) in installing, maintaining, upgrading this software and testing patches.
Provides training to supervisors, and others as requested on computer and web applications and their interrelated programs.
Reviews problems reported with regard to Mental Health Service Programs to determine what action is necessary to correct the problem(s). Incumbent aids in documentation and resolution of software problems with information Management Service (IMS). Incumbent utilizes the National Online Information System (NOIS) and Local Online Information System (LOIS) to report software technical problems to IMS and Customer Service.
Conducts feasibility studies, review historical and statistical data and meet with the appropriate personnel to develop the request.
Reviews employee menu options to ensure access is limited to job responsibilities and maintained commensurate with changing job responsibilities.
Utilizes VISTA and other personal computer packages to provide management with clear, concise ad-hoc reports, summaries and presentations.
Serves as timekeeper, enters all time, and leave requests in a timely and accurate manner. Provide accurate timekeeping audit. Monitors Timekeeping Spreadsheet for payroll accuracy. Coordinates forms such as proficiencies, performance pay, incentives, market pay, and provider exit forms.
Serves as Government Purchase Card (GPC) Holder for the Mental Health Service programs.
Initiates all credit card purchases, tracks the status of purchases until items are delivered, reconciles each order, submits Obligation or Change in Obligation (VA1358) forms, and monitors fund control point balances.
Monitors and process Underdelivered Orders Action Required reports.
Provides back-up coverage for the Secretary of Mental Health and other Program Support Assistants when the staff member is out of the office.
Performs basic administrative functions in support of the Chief of Mental Health Services, Administrative Officer for Mental Health Services and Mental Health Services Management.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

GS-06 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes: performing ancillary duties related to developing, coordinating, promoting, and assuring quality management of organization wide programs; collecting and analyzing information about the programs impact and recommending adjustments; installing, maintaining, and upgrading software and testing patches; receiving, reviewing and evaluating all requests for access to data; ensuring access is limited to job responsibilities and maintained commensurate with changing job responsibilities; determining if the computer application requested is appropriate and feasible; providing management with clear, concise ad-hoc reports, summaries and presentations.

Education
There is no educational substitution for the GS-06 level. Transcripts not required.
