About the Position: Assists Project Managers in planning, developing, coordinating and implementing processes and procedures related to management systems for projects managed within the District. Performs duties in support of project management, control, coordination and execution of assigned projects.

Duties
Plan and schedule tasks and monitor the progress of project completion and establish a project task listing required to accomplish execution of the project within cost and time limitations.
Assist the Project Manager to create and maintain the Project Management Plan for the project that shows the scope, baseline schedule and cost for each activity.
Collect project execution data from project managers assigned to the district and confirms relevancy and places data on a database for use in estimating cost and production rates for future projects.
Develop and maintain electronic databases and input to existing databases as required.
Meet and coordinate with Project Managers, Project Delivery Teams and Supervisors to collect and disseminate information about the project schedule and project issues needing resolution.
Perform a variety of administrative and technical support duties, including maintaining and distributing documents and files to other sections and branches as assigned, and preparing graphs, charts and other materials for briefings and meetings.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify at the GS-09 grade level, you must have:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes using computer scheduling software (e.g. P2, Primavera, or Microsoft Project) to assist in creating and maintaining schedules and/or printing reports for the purpose of managing a portfolio of project schedules and budgets. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education (minimum of 36 semester hours) leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business, Data Analysis, Project Management. OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, you must have:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes using computer scheduling software (e.g. P2, Primavera, or Microsoft Project) to assist in managing a large portfolio of project schedules and budgets for studies, engineering and design, construction, or operations and maintenance projects in accordance with standard business processes and experience utilizing data from these systems to prepare reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: PhD or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education (minimum of 54 semester hours) leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business, Data Analysis, Project Management. OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
