You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER.
This position is part of the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-03 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 through GS-14. This position has a control point equivalent to the GS-12 step 10 level.
Duties
You will support the Program Manager in the execution of NAVFAC EXWC Industrial Security program to ensure that cleared U.S. defense industry safeguards the classified information in their possession.
You will review and develop new and/or existing Industrial Security policies, procedures, and guidelines for DoD wide use.
You will provide instruction on all aspects of Industrial Security to all military (active and reserve), civilian, auxiliary members and contract employees.
You will assist in the development of new Industrial Security policies, procedures, and guidelines when the issues under consideration have no applicable precedent or are highly controversial and/or visible, political, or sensitive.
You will establish and maintain effective working relationships and information networks with other DoD components affected by organizational programs.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
To qualify for the NT-3: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-05 through GS-11 or NT-2) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:. 1) Utilizing Information, Industrial and Physical Security concepts, principles, and practices to analyze and resolve security problems; 2) Coordinating objectives, interpret policy, and provide interpretations to resolve security issues; 3) Resolving and/or make recommendations concerning issues involving conflicting regulations, policies, and procedures; 5) Implementing internal security procedures to ensure proper handling and safeguarding of classified material and classification of material; and ) 6) Preparing and providing mandatory security briefings to personnel.
To qualify for the NT-2: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-01 through GS-04 or NT-1) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Applying principles and practices of Personnel, Information, Industrial and Physical Security Programs; 2). Organizing and monitoring security programs utilizing database applications; and 3) Using computer system to draft briefings
