You will serve as a THEATER ANTI-SUBMARINE WARFARE (TASW) REQUIREMENTS OFFICER in the COMASWFORWESTLANT of ANTI-SUB WARFARE FORCE WESTERN LANT.
Duties
You will make recommendations to the TASW Commander, UWDC and COMSUBLANT on capability gaps and issues that may require direction or resources.
You will coordinate with resources sponsors, technical development agencies and technicians to identify and develop opportunities to enhance Theater ASW Operations Center watch floor Command and Control capabilities.
You will make and recommend overall program priorities and milestones to ensure Theater ASW warfighting missions are met.
You will evaluate consistency, economy of effort, and wider applicability of initiatives undertaken.
You will lead working group initiatives and projects and projects to improve future Theater ASW Operations Center capabilities worldwide.
You will ensure that Theater ASW Operations Center equities are represented at Theater ASW Requirements development meetings; to include ASW Improvement Program (ASWIP) meetings and conferences, ASW working groups, and other forms of liaison groups.
You will continuously upgrade Theater ASW watch floor communications and common operational picture capabilities.
You will assess staff training needs necessary to integrate emerging technologies into current operations.
You will develop plans, strategies, methods, and materials to meet training needs.
You will make presentations at technical and subject matter expert conferences or operational working groups on matters pertaining to future Theater ASW C4I, knowledge management and tactical decision aid system requirements.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the
GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience advising the Theater Anti-Submarine Warfare (TASW) Chief of Staff, Undersea Warfighting Development Center (UWDC) and Commander, Submarine Force Atlantic (COMSUBLANT) on matters pertaining to long range planning, conduct and scheduling of Theater ASW Operations Center requirements and upgrades.
Experience developing and/or interpreting specialized TASW standard operations procedures and guidelines on operations, command and control systems, knowledge management and tactical decision aid systems.
Experience determining the need for improvements or development of operational systems and procedures within the TASW Operations center;
Experience instructing staff on the functions and operations of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I).
Experience using management and tactical decision aid system, formulating strategies and supervising implementation of new systems and software.
Experience leading working group initiatives and projects to improve future Theater ASW Operations Center capabilities worldwide.
Experience preparing written policies, guidance and directions, and explaining, defending, and justifying decisions and recommendations to higher level management and providing advice on programs.
