This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, US Coast Guard, Yard, Industrial Department, Electro Group in Baltimore, MD.

Duties

You will be responsible for ordering and expediting the delivery of materials needed to meet established work schedules.Working for the Coast Guard makes you a valuable team member.  Typical duties include:

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Applicant is required to meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
• State Driver's License is required.
• Submit a copy of most recent SF-50, Notice of Personnel Action

Qualifications

Applicants will be evaluated on their ability to perform the duties of the position rather than the length of experience. Eligibility will be determined by the relevance, scope, and quality of all experience and training, regardless of where or how acquired.Applicants will be rated and ranked based on their knowledge of the following job elements:1. Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision (SCREENOUT)2. Knowledge of electrical equipment3. Theory and instruments (electrical/electronic) used in shop and trade practices 4. Technical Practices5. Ability to use electrical drawings6. Ability to use and maintain hand tools (electrical work)7.
