You will serve as a EMERGENCY SUPPORT MANAGER in the Emergency Planning Division of the Executive Support Staff of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will serve as a Plans and Operations Program Manager responsible for developing and updating existing command plans and operations; supervising division personnel; managing assigned projects; and supporting emergency management/safety program. You will manage and coordinate mission support projects, tasking, actions, and programs received/assigned by higher Headquarters, that impact mission success of the Division. You will direct responsibility for developing, writing, coordinating and providing input on the command’s stance. You will develop a process of continuous review for the PHNSY and IMF Command and staff to ensure the Operational Plan (OPLAN) remains current and adequately supports PHNSY and IMF services requirements. You will ensure that Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY and IMF) strategic plans and programs are nested and aligned with Headquarters implementation Plan. You will assemble, develop, coordinate, and write Standard Operating Procedures for subordinate organizations within the Command.

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing, planning, communicating, and executing project management functions for emergency response programs at all levels local, state and Federal with the ability to develop and update existing command plans and operations in accordance with various organizations and be able to clearly communicate both orally and in writing and also lead and direct work for a team.
