You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST for the Naval Service Training Command (NSTC GREAT LAKES).
Salary Information:
GS-07 Salary Range: $52,022 - $67,628
GS-09 Salary Range: $63,633 - $82,720
Duties
You will analyze administrative programs to locate and eliminate ineffective procedures or processes.
You will develop process improvement recommendations to assist managers with formulating improvement plans and strategies.
You will develop and maintain databases related to continuous process improvement activities, projects and training.
You will create spreadsheets, databases, or data analysis tools to manipulate large datasets for analysis.
You will document analysis findings for management review.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Analyzing existing and projected resource levels to identify problems and solutions; 2) Maintaining program data records to substantiate recommendations; and 3) Assisting management with compiling and analyzing statistical and other various types of data, while ensuring the accuracy of information collected.
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Analyzing existing and projected resource levels to provide resource allocation recommendations; 2) Identifying program requirements, determining data to collect and analyzing collected data to report, substantiate, and brief; 3) Providing advice and guidance to management on program requirements to assist in developing policies, completion of projects, and meet short term deadlines; and 4) Continuously tracking all manning levels (civilian, and military).

Education

GS-07 position - One full year of graduate level education OR superior academic achievement OR possess a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
GS-09 position - master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
