This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Serves as a Budget Analyst analyzing trends and developments in budget planning, programming and execution concerning appropriations, funding priorities and workload management which supports overall program operations.
Duties
Perform budget administration and analysis by analyzing trends and developments in budget planning, programming and execution concerning appropriations, funding priorities and workload management which supports overall program operations.
Perform financial analysis by formulating and coordinating requirements for program activities by functional areas based on an analysis of activity requirements, historical expenditures, or projected workload.
Analyze and project internal and external current year and out-years requirements based on established or projected requirements.
Analyze, develop, and complete detailed financial statistical requirements to support program operations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually and thereafter.
- Financial Management Level 2 certification must be obtained within 24 months of entry on duty.
- This is a Term Not to Exceed 3 years position with the potential to be made permanent.

To qualify, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. This typically includes work performed at the next lower grade/level (NH-02/GS-11) position in the federal service.
Specialized Experience: One year of experience which includes: 1) Executing financial transactions and running reports in General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS) and (2) Analyzing reports to identify errors and develop detailed program or financial plans.
