Job opening: LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Salary: $108 084 - 140 506 per year

You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the H-52 IWST, of the Weapons Support Department, of the Operations Directorate, Code N98 of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Duties

You will serve as the lead member of the Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the development, implementation, and execution of the Interim Supply Support and Support Solutions to include Performance Based Logistics contracts. You will coordinate business case analyses, return on investment analyses, and cost benefit analyses to determine Navy total ownership costs in order to identify the most cost-efficient means of obtaining logistics support. You will participate in the development of appropriate high level and supporting level metrics which clearly demonstrate level of performance being achieved. You will support the Program Manager through collaboration on the development of a Total Ownership Cost and participate in the analysis of assumptions, data inputs and results.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating mastery knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) policies, procedures, and regulations to support the work of a complex major system. Specialized experience includes the following: 1. Knowledge of pre- and post-MSD (Material Support Date) supply system regulations, processes and procedures, including requirements determination, wholesale stocking policies, repair processes, transportation systems, warehousing and retail supply processes. 2. Reviewing and assisting in the development of planning and procurement documents to ensure integration of DoD/Navy policies, procedures, contract provisions and contract data requirements; 3. Determining interim repair and spare requirements, sourcing, and estimates; 4. Implementing procurement strategies with appropriated and non-appropriated funding and working capital funding sources.
