This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief of Operations, Superintendent, Capitol Building (CB). The incumbent serves as the Administrative Officer, managing a full range of day-to-day administrative activities within the Capitol Building including human resources support, management analysis, internal and external communications, records management and special projects and studies

Examples of specialized experience for this position include the following:
Preparing and communicating written reports and information in a visual manner related to program requirements and policies.
Developing and implementing a communications strategy and program for an organization with multiple program responsibilities and diverse audiences.
Writing, researching and editing informational materials that are compliant with required editorial styles and rules of grammar.
Leading multiple projects of various complexities simultaneously.
Candidates for the GS-12 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience for this position include the following:
Developing and implementing a communications strategy and program for an organization with multiple program responsibilities and diverse audiences.
Simplifying complex concepts and terms into concise and readily understandable oral and written communications.
Advising various levels of staff on administrative and procedural requirements.
