About the Position: This position is located in the Requirements Division, Maneuver Support Capabilities and Integration Directorate, Army Futures Command with duty at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, bordering Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2-hour drive east and Springfield is a 1-hour drive west of Fort Leonard Wood.
Duties
Serve as Capability Developer/Materiel Analyst for All Domain Protection, Maneuver Support, Assured Mobility (Engineer), CWMD (CBRN), Protection (Military Police), and Homeland Defense materiel system requirements.
Provide viable courses of action concerning Chemical, Engineer, Military Police and / or Homeland Defense materiel needs for military equipment items.
Work actions related to bringing items into the Army inventory, long range planning, safety, cost effectiveness, environmental impacts, and Integrated Logistics Support.
Conduct comprehensive coordination with TRADOC, Futures and Concepts Center, Army Futures Command, HQDA, and other services regarding equipment performance characteristics, milestone schedules, funding streams, and distribution issues.
Serve as an action officer conducting requirements and Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership, Personnel, and Facilities integration with other organizations.
Develop and write a variety of Capability and other technical documents.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
- The duties of the position require Temporary Duty Travel approximately 25% of the duty time.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: applying knowledge of maneuver support proponent programs and operational requirements to develop material, equipment and systems to address capability gaps; analyzing and compiling technical data; coordinating projects and preparing briefs and other documentation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements.
