Duties

Serves as a staff expert on all matters relating to family housing privatization/Residential Communities Initiatives (RCI) and lodging privatization/Privatized Army Lodging, Provides technical advice and assistance to Garrison Commander and other installation staff to represent Department of Army, IMCOM and objectives. Develops policies for all aspects of family housing privatization/Residential Communities Initiatives and lodging privatization/Privatized Army Lodging (PAL). Study, analyze and interpret housing and lodging privatization policies issued by higher headquarters and provide technical guidance and implementing instructions to RCI and PAL Team. Serves as the primary technical consultant/POC in meetings with DoD, HQDA, IMCOM, other services and government agencies, and develop personnel to coordinate housing privatization/Residential Communities.

  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). GS-13 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Participating in overseeing and managing family housing and/or lodging privatization for an organization; providing technical guidance concerning aspects and policies of family housing regulations; assisting in developing; planning and budgeting housing and lodging programs and analyzing and interpreting housing design and living standards to ensure compliance with Federal Agency regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementCustomer ServiceOral CommunicationPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11/12).
