You will serve as an Industrial Material Analyst in the Industrial Material Analysis Division (Code 33310) of the Industrial Logistics Department (Code 33000), within the Maintenance Repair Overhaul Logistics Group (Code 30000) of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
You will maintain the RBOMs for a specific area of responsibility, incorporating changes driven by Technical Directives (TDs), changes in material sourcing availability, actual performance data, etc.
You will monitor and analyze RBOM metrics to determine forecast accuracy, effectiveness, and identify variance drivers.
You will use analytical techniques to develop RBOM inputs based on technical data and workload prioritization, historical data from analogous workload, engineering estimates, and actual performance.
You will interpret written directives, specifications, technical bulletins, aviation drawings, and other pertinent technical data in order to determine the material requirements to include in the RBOMs.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
FOR GS-09:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) maintaining RBOMs, incorporating changes driven by Technical Directives (TDs), changes in material sourcing availability, actual performance data, etc.; 2) assisting with RBOM Audits, to include cost benefit analysis, variance analysis and supportability analysis; 3) monitoring and analyzing RBOM metrics to determine forecast accuracy, effectiveness, and identify variance drivers; and 4) interpreting written directives, specifications, technical bulletins, aviation drawings, and other pertinent technical data.
For GS-07:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) familiarity with RBOMs (Repair Bills of Material) in relation to RBOM analysis and development; 2) correlating diverse factors and data, analyzing and evaluating data, and ensuring incorporation into the applicable elements of the overall logistic plan; 3) composing technical reports and evaluations, including assessment of the issues, root causes, and recommended solutions; and 4) interpreting written directives, specifications, technical bulletins, aviation drawings, and other pertinent technical data.

Education
The following education may substituted for specialized experience:
FOR GS-09:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree
or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
FOR GS-07:
1 full year of graduate level education
or bachelor's degree withsuperior academic achievement.
