You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE TEAM MANAGER within the Quality Assurance Directorate.
Duties
You will review production activities and capabilities in light of contract quality requirements.
You will review written quality or inspection procedures for adequacy, and evaluating the implementation and effectiveness of quality/inspection systems, including sampling plans.
You will analyze quality data to detect unsatisfactory trends or weaknesses in the quality/inspection system.
You will verify by test or inspection, using sampling inspection or intensive product inspection techniques, that products comply with requirements prior to acceptance.
You will identify inadequacies and requesting corrective action.
You will compute data, summarizing results, and preparing reports or charts depicting pertinent relationships using statistical methods.
You will investigate customer complaints and deficiency reports, and providing identification of causes to appropriate authorities.
You will read, interpret, and apply technical data such as blueprints, engineering drawings, product specifications, or technical manuals.
You will review and evaluate supply systems operations and procedures through periodic audits and surveillance inspections.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting analysis of quality control measures, processes, methods, or requirements to identify quality trends or conditions in the manufacturing of materials or products for shipbuilding projects or construction.

Education
Education may be used to substitute for the specialized experience statement:
- successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree with major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or another field related to the position; -OR-
- successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or another field related to the position; -OR-
- successful completion of an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled; -OR-
- a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
